A selection of trainings for anyone working on the Leadership Development Programme that will run over the weekend 2nd and 3rd November 2024 at Moulton Guide Hall

SATURDAY 2nd November
9.30am-12.45pm Guiding programme and how to adapt it
get to know the guiding programme for all sections
1.15pm-2.45pm – Risky Business
learning about how to complete Girlguiding risk assessments
3.00pm-4.30pm- Celebrating every member
knowing which forms can be used to support girls and volunteers, recognising examples of inclusive decision making and leadership, suggesting ways to adapt activities and meetings, knowing how to report incidents of discrimination
SUNDAY 3rd November
9.30am-11.00am – Unit Accounts/Finance
Budgeting for the unit and its activities and knowing where to go for advice and help, running unit finances in accordance with Girlguiding’s policies to make sure accounts will withstand scrutiny, using the Girlguiding spreadsheet and considering regular spends such as annual subscriptions
11.15am-12.45pm Doing Our Best
ensure your unit’s activities are high quality and are based around the Five Essentials
1.15pm-2.45pm – Effective Communication
understanding what makes a great unit team, and how to develop one, applying key techniques which will help the LIT lead a team, encouraging development within the team, communicating effectively with the unit team and beyond
